Commissions

Commissions are a special way to get a personalized piece of my art for your home. The great thing about a commission is that I can create a painting for you which represents a scene that you love, and the painting will have the right dimensions and colour palette to fit your space.

Please take the time to look at my painting page and browse my portfolio. My commissioned paintings will reflect the style of my existing artwork.

I use archival oil paints, and Canadian made exhibition canvas.

I charge approximately $2.00 (CAN) per sq inch plus tax.

Shipping and framing are available at additional cost.

I require a 50% deposit which is non-refundable.

Read more about the Commissions process and fill out the form below to get your custom project started.

The Commission Process

I will gather details from you prior to beginning your commission. We will determine a size, colour palette, and subject etc. I appreciate any inspiration you can provide. What particular paintings and style of mine you favor, any photographs, landscapes or locations you would like me to use as reference. The more insight, the better!

Once I have an idea of what you are looking for I will send sketches for approval before I get started to make sure we are on the same page. Once I have your approval of my sketches the oil painting begins.

It can take me anywhere from 10-12 weeks to complete a painting.

Once the painting is completed you will be invited to view the painting.

The remaining payment is due upon completion.

I want you to be 100% satisfied once your piece is completed while staying true to my artistic style and ability. If you are not satisfied with the painting, you may apply your deposit towards another painting in my collection, or I am happy to paint the piece again considering your feedback.

Shipping will be quoted based on the size of the work and your shipping address.

Artist Statement

I am mesmerized by the power of the ocean.

The movement and reflection.

The sound of seafoam melting over the surface of glistening waves.

The breath of sea breeze.

What is beautiful to me, and what I try to represent in my art is the essence of the nature I see around me.

The dance of light, impression of colour, and feelings found in a moment of meditative awe.
