Original ocean paintings on display at Bayside Resort, Parksville

Original ocean paintings displayed in the dining room at Bayside Resort in Parksville, BC by Emma Paveley

I am proud to announce that a selection of my original ocean paintings, inspired by the Vancouver Island coastline, is currently on display at the Bayside Resort in Parksville, running from April through July.

You’ll find my art in the dining room at this beautiful resort. I love the view from the Bayside restaurant. It’s easily one of the best views in town. A space where you could sit for hours and not get bored. You’ve got the ocean stretching out for miles, mountains in the distance, and the light changing constantly while the tide ebbs and flows… the view never really looks the same twice.

The paintings in this collection are pieces I’ve poured so much time, energy, and heart into, and seeing them hanging in such a beautiful oceanfront setting is something I feel proud of.

Those who live and visit Vancouver Island know the ocean is a huge part of life here. I’ve always been drawn to the sea, and living on the coast of Ucluelet has made that connection part of everyday life. Long walks along the shoreline, storm watching, and surfing all feed into the work I create.

Bringing the ocean into your home

Whether you’re visiting for a short time or living right on the coast, the ocean has a way of staying with you. Ocean paintings feel like a way of holding onto a place. A memory of time spent here, and a reminder of the ocean wherever you are.

If you don’t live on the coast, my art is a way to take a piece of the island home with you. If you do live here, it’s a way to hold onto that feeling a little closer.

If you’d like to see what’s currently available on my website, you can view my work here: View my available work here.

There are also several pieces in the Bayside exhibit that are only available in person through the MacMillan Arts Centre.

Viewing & purchasing work

The Bayside Resort and MacMillan Arts Centre have created a space that celebrates Vancouver Island artists, and I feel incredibly grateful to be included among them.

My current displayed collection is presented in partnership with the MacMillan Arts Centre, who handle all artwork sales and inquiries.

If you’re staying at Bayside Resort or passing through, I’d love for you to check out the work in person.
